No data collection

Minuta does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All time records, tags, and attachments are stored locally on your device in ~/Documents/Minuta/.

Network requests

Minuta has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no telemetry. The app makes one kind of network request, and only if you turn it on.

Update check (Mac, opt-in). The Mac app downloaded from this site or installed with Homebrew has a "Check for updates" switch in Settings. It is off until you turn it on. While it is on, the app asks https://minuta.tools/downloads/version.json for the latest version number, at most once a day, and compares it with its own version on your device. The request is a plain download of that file: it carries nothing about you or your data, only what any web request carries, such as your IP address and the system's standard user agent with the app's name and version. The server's access log may record them, as for any visit to this site. Your records, tags, and attachments are never sent. Turning the switch off stops the checks.

The iPhone and iPad app, the Mac App Store and TestFlight builds, and the command-line tool make no network requests at all.

Sync

If you choose to place your data folder inside Dropbox, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or another folder sync service, that service's own privacy policy applies to the synced files. Minuta itself is not involved in the sync process.

Permissions

Minuta may request access to your photo library (to attach images to time records) and to a folder you select (for custom storage location). These permissions are used solely within the app and no data leaves your device through Minuta.
